Scott Kelly Founder and CEO of Black Dog Venture Partners, is a 25 year fundraising, marketing, sales, training and publicity veteran. Scott has raised millions of dollars in capital for disruptive companies, garnered national media coverage for hundreds of regional and national brands and generated millions of dollars in revenues for the companies he has represented. He has also trained over 1,000 sales people and has taught marketing at the university level in the United States and Europe.
Vishal Arora Technology Executive, Startup Investor, Incubator, and Advisor
Vishal is a technologist at heart. He enjoys building disruptive, innovative technology products and services that have worldwide impact, as well as investing in, incubating, and advising startups that do the same. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science and an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Vishal has served multiple products and professional services organizations like Microsoft, Symantec, Accenture, and Avanade in different leadership capacity, where his roles included enterprise product and services strategy, design and delivery, product and portfolio management, global technology and P&L management. He is a founder of both Netvega Solutions, an IT services firm focused on providing services and solutions for small to mid-market companies, and VDOSH, an investment and advisory firm focused on growing technology startups in the early stages of their development.
Vishal is passionate about startup mentorship and incubation and supports startups throughout the United States and India. He is a mentor with multiple incubation and acceleration centers including Alchemist
JJ Richa – Angel Investor
JJ Richa is an accomplished serial entrepreneur, executive and investor. JJ has successfully founded several companies, where he served as President and CEO, including a software company for the hospitality industry, an online eCommerce portal for high-end made-to-order gifts, and a custom software development company concentrating on the financial sector. JJ is a private equity investor, a longtime member of Tech Coast Angels where he served as its vice president and a member of its executive committee. JJ has served on numerous board of directors, started a private equity firm and served in senior executive restructuring and turnaround roles including interim CEO and fractional COO for businesses at various stages. JJ has BS and MS degrees from Cal State Long Beach.
Brian Mac Mahon – Serial entrepreneur and investor and has owns companies in over 35 countries

Cameron Colvin having played for the De La Salle Spartans, Oregon Ducks, and San Francisco 49ers. His story was recently portrayed by Ser’Darius William Blain in the 2014 Sony film When the Game Stands Tall, about his life through high school with the De La Salle Spartans.

Hershel Mehta, CPA – Private Investor, Mehta Ventures, Los Angeles, CA
Hershel Mehta is a Venture Capitalist in charge of U.S. investments through his Family Office’s proprietary fund called Mehta Ventures. He has gone through the entrepreneurship journey himself, having published a mobile application in the Apple App Store in 2015, and Hershel uses that experience to help guide entrepreneurs through their own journeys. He finished his Venture Investing Education through the Executive Education Program at the Wharton School of Business. Likewise, he is a CPA certified by the CA State Board of Accountancy. Hershel has invested in 14 deals this last quarter, 11 of which were through the Y-Combinator W19 batch.
Janice Orlando – Private Investor – Board of Directors, Pasadena Angels
The Pasadena Angels were founded in 2000 and are one of the longest-running angel investing groups in Southern California. We have invested over $75 million in 190 plus companies. Pasadena Angels funded companies have gone on to raise over $500 million from additional funding sources such as venture capital and private equity. Recent notable exits for the Pasadena Angels are Mind Body Software (NASDAQ:MB) reaching $1 billion and Bluebeam Software, acquired by Nemetschek for $100 million.
The Pasadena Angels have been consistently ranked as one of the top ten angel investing groups in the country according to Forbes Magazine (2015) and Angel Resource Institute’s HALO report (2017). A nonprofit entity, the Pasadena Angels offers early-stage start-ups capital investments; as well as mentoring from the expertise of more than 100 investor members with over 4,000 years of combined business expertise. Our $1.5 million PA Fund 1 was formed in 2016 with the sole purpose of co-investing exclusively in deals subscribed by Pasadena Angels members.
Ajay Prasad – CEO GMR Web Team
Ajay Prasad is a serial entrepreneur and a recovering corporate executive. His entrepreneur journey started in 2005 after spending 17 years as a senior executive (marketing/strategy/CEO) of large, mid-size, and a VC-funded startup.
Based in Orange County, CA, he owns five companies in different stages of development with offices in Tustin, CA, Ellensburg, WA, and two Indian offices in Hyderabad and Patna. His companies employ over 100 people.
Ajay is an active member of TiE SoCal Angel Investment Group and has invested in five businesses, all based in the US, as an angel investor. He prefers to invest in companies that are fulfilling an unmet need, and where he can bring some additional value through his experience and his current infrastructure.
Jeffery Lin – Oak Sky Capital
Managing his own AUM as well as his family’s, Jeffrey Lin has been investing for the past decade. Focusing on real estate/infrastructure and seed stage to publicly-listed companies, he invests with a cross border angle (Asia Expansion). Jeffrey Lin started college at the age of 14 and received his JD from the University of Iowa.
Lucas Pols – Managing Partner of Amplite Capital, Founder & CEO of Spark xyz, and a member of Tech Coast Angels.
In his previous career at ADP he successfully helped roll out two technology driven national pilots, while additionally winning District Manager of the Year and Sales Executive of the year. More recently he helped launch the Quake Capital Accelerator here in Los Angeles successfully building out their program and advising the startups on business development, leadership, and fundraising.
He received his Master’s in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. While at USC, Lucas was the case protagonist of professor Noam Wasserman’s case study, which focused on his venture, Spark xyz, and hybrid entrepreneurship.
Lucas also currently writes for Forbes and does speaking engagements around Los Angeles.

Prior to joining Moore Venture Partners in 2018, he was the first investor, CFO, and co-founder of OpenEnglish.com which has become the world’s #1 online ESL school with over 1,000 employees and operations in most of Latin America. Since 2007, Open English has raised over $120 million dollars. Additionally, since 2012, Lorenzen successfully launched Daily Hope Radio, which is the daily inspirational radio program from Pastor Rick Warren, as well as The Daniel Plan, which in partnership with Dr. Oz promotes health and wellness throughout the global church.
