Taylor McPartland – CEO, ScaleHealth
A Northern California native, Taylor moved South in 2003 to attend Whittier College. Upon graduating, he became heavily involved in the growing Los Angeles tech community when he co-founded a data marketing platform in 2010. Over the next several years, Taylor developed a passion for empowering entrepreneurs to chase solutions to address the systemic problems that face our society. With this mission in mind, he founded ScaleHealth in 2018 and, subsequently, the ScaleInspire Foundation. With the mission of building a global health innovation ecosystem by connecting startups, strategic partners, and communities, ScaleHealth supports hundreds startups and works with over 100 investment funds as well as many hospitals, insurers, and strategic partners. Growing rapidly, ScaleHealth now has hubs in Orange County, Vietnam, Austin, Detroit, Ohio, and Belgium with others on the way.
Nardo Manaloto – CEO, Catalaize
Nardo Manaloto is the CEO of Catalaize, a deep tech and healthcare innovation ecosystem supporting investors in due diligence, accelerating startups, and helping companies with their innovation, digital transformation, and system transition from legacy to modern technologies. Nardo is also the Managing Partner of Qubits Ventures, a VC firm investing in early stage quantum tech startups. Nardo is excited about quantum technologies and what it can bring to healthcare, life sciences, biotech, medical devices, and pharma industries.
Kwame Ulmer – Venture Partner, Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health
Kwame Ulmer is a venture partner at Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health – the leading Southern-California based, early stage venture capital firm focused on the healthcare industry. He leads the medtech practice and participates in all aspects of fund management. Kwame brings twenty years of experience evaluating medical technologies in the government and private sector, and serving in senior operating roles at medical device companies. He has personally evaluated more than 1,000 medical technologies in his career. Kwame spent 12 years at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in progressive leadership roles, including Deputy Director and Branch Chief. He also served as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Implant Direct, a Danaher Corporation operating company. Kwame serves on the board of the University of Virginia Licensing and Ventures Group and the California Life Sciences. He is also a lecturer and researcher in MedTech Innovation at UCLA. Kwame founded MedTech Color, a nonprofit with a mission to advance the representation of persons of color in the medical device industry.
Giancarlo Lyle Edrosolo – CNO, Providence Saint John’s Health Center
Dr. Giancarlo Lyle-Edrosolo (DNP, RN, CENP, CNL,NEA-BC,NE-BC, CCRN-K, PHN, FAONL) is the Chief Nursing Officer at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California. He is an inducted Fellow of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), a 2020 AONL Nurse Executive Fellow, and a past board member for AONL and the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL). He is an active member of several professional organizations and serves in national/state committees and taskforces. Giancarlo has won local, state, and national awards in leadership and public policy. Giancarlo is passionate about leadership development and creating a pipeline of competent nurses to assume emerging roles from the bedside to the board room and beyond.
Wendy Morgan – Founder/CEO, Shift
Wendy is the CEO and Founder at Shift. She is an entrepreneur with a drive to use innovative technologies to solve the world's most pressing social issues. She is a lifelong educator and diversity, equity, and inclusion expert, driven by a passion for seeing equity and inclusion become foundational values for her community and society. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching, training, and designing innovative online education platforms. As a recipient of 5 grants, including one from the National Science Foundation, she has been able to expand her work in promoting equity and inclusion nationally, As CEO and founder of Shift, she is expanding her mission.
Maggie Hubbell – Co-Founder/COO, Shift
Maggie Hubbell is an experienced entrepreneur and executive leader with a passion for scaling and growing startups. Maggie ran 3 successful technology startups and was the CEO of Agency Revolution when she led the Software as a Service company to a successful strategic acquisition. She has extensive experience in sales, marketing, customer success, and operations. Maggie has held numerous board positions advancing equity in technology industries, including serving on the boards for The Technology Association of Oregon and a local peer mentoring group for executives and professionals. As the Fund Manager for the Bend Venture Conference Impact Fund she supports companies with a social or environmental impact. Maggie is COO/Co-Founder of Shift, which merges her passions for entrepreneurship and using technology for social impact.
