Expert DOJO & The Veteran Fund Have partnered up to support startups throughout the vegas area by providing an afternoon of pitching and learning new growth tactics for your business. During these sessions, you will hear from the general partner of the Veteran Fund and successful entrepreneur, Lisa Song Sutton, about lessons you can learn from her experiences building multiple successful companies. In addition, the founder of Expert DOJO, the 7th most active VC fund in the world in 2022 will teach growth hacking skills that will help you build your revenue faster. Growing your revenues is the key to raising large investment rounds in 2023 so this session will be gold. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to ask a panel of investors anything and learn what it takes to be successful in this investment environment, as well as sharing your own company investment opportunity.

About Brian Mac Mahon:

About Lisa Song Sutton:

Lisa Song Sutton is a real estate investor, entrepreneur, and former Congressional candidate for Nevada’s 4th district. With a background in business litigation, Lisa began her career working in a top Las Vegas law firm before launching and scaling several companies across various industries including real estate, food and shipping retail.

As the daughter of a USAF Vietnam War Veteran, Lisa is a strong advocate for the veteran community. She is currently a General Partner of The Veteran Fund, a $20M pre-seed venture capital fund that invests in veteran-led and military-spouse-led companies.

In addition to her work in real estate and venture capital, Lisa is a sought-after speaker, sharing her message of leadership, empowerment, and action with audiences from the TEDx stage to local schools, encouraging the private sector to become more involved in their communities.

Lisa was the first Miss Nevada of Asian descent and remains actively involved in her community, serving on the boards of StartUpNV, Nevada’s largest statewide business incubator, and the Young President’s Organization (YPO) Las Vegas chapter. She was recently recognized as Vegas Inc.’s 40 Under 40 and is thrilled to be a new 2023 board member for the Nevada Policy Research Institute. About Jonathan Hung:

Jonathan Hung is a successful VC and entrepreneur. He has evolved from his role as a prolific angel investor with over 100+ pre-seed and pre-IPO investments under his belt to a new VC fund he is leading with his partners and advisors. His firm, Entrepreneur Ventures, will not only leverage his experience with a wide variety of B2C startups but also his robust knowledge of “frontier” industries such as AI/ML, SAAS, and Robotics.

Jonathan is a driver of value creation who supports entrepreneurs, investors, startups, and high-net-worth individuals seeking capital and exposure. His work with Trousdale Ventures and Unicorn Venture Partners demonstrates his strategic expertise and investment acumen. About Mike Sherbakov:

Mike Sherbakov serves as General Partner at The Veteran Fund, a pre-seed venture capital fund in Silicon Valley, and Managing Director of Southern California’s Founder Institute, the world’s largest early-stage startup accelerator. As the CEO of Greatness Ventures, he has led the business accelerator to thousands of investor members and hundreds of companies in their portfolio. Their venture philanthropy arm has built homes in underdeveloped communities since 2014 and continues to lead impact trips open for the community to join.

Mike previously founded three startups, helped grow two companies from 0 to $20M+ valuations, and consulted with leading brands including Fitbit, lululemon athletica, Equinox, and Qualcomm. About Mark Rangell:

Mark Rangell is a VC and healthcare expert. His career spans over 30 years of executive leadership in healthcare and information technology across all phases of business maturity from venture-backed startups and turnarounds through IPOs, growth equity and large enterprises.

Mark co-founded his growth strategy firm Execullence in 2011 and his investment syndicate, x4 Capital Partners, in 2021.  During that time he has led investments in multiple companies including Expert DOJO co investments. He layers his investment dollars with his industry knowledge to give his companies that additional edge they need.

Primary areas of expertise include growth strategy, capitalization, go-to-market planning and execution, alliance and partner development, M&A and cultural transformation.

About Nektar Baziotis:

Nektar Baziotis is an experienced entrepreneur and technology leader with over 20 years of experience in international business development, IT project management, IT business consulting, e-learning, and artificial intelligence. As the founder of ICARUS AI Inc. and co-founder of ENKI Inc. and Apogee Information Systems, Nektar has successfully implemented large-scale IT products and services for the United Nations, the European Commission, the European Parliament, organizations, companies, and startups across multiple countries.

Nektar has been featured in various magazines for his expertise in artificial intelligence, e-learning strategies, and implementation roadmaps. He holds a BA in Mathematics from AUTH GR, a Master of Business Administration from Sheffield UK, and has completed additional studies in artificial intelligence from MIT US and entrepreneurship from Wharton US.
