Meet Gemma Cox and Sheena Jongeneel of Stylette Kids, another great startup at Expert DOJO
Stylette is a clothing rental platform to serve the modern-day busy family. For parents who are frustrated to invest in clothes that their kids quickly outgrow. With access to our revolving closet, they dress kids for their special occasions, daily wear, and seasonal adventures.
“As moms, we know first-hand how frustrating it is to invest in clothes that kids quickly outgrow. We have uncovered and experienced these problems when shopping for our own kids. So our solution to these pain points is to provide convenient and accessible fashion for families through our rental service. Our online shopping platform is fashionable for kids and functional for parents,” said Gemma CEO of Stylette Kids.
Renting is the new alternative to buying and a sustainable lifestyle for moms who are conscious about their fashion. To reduce merchandise waste from fast-fashion consumerism, the soul of Stylette is to maximize the wear and use of clothes that kids more often than not wear just once. So parents don’t need to worry about their kids’ messes.
“Within the last decade, fast fashion consumerism has polluted the environment and landfills with unwanted, merchandise waste, so there has become a big consumer shift towards more eco-conscious fashion. As we have seen the rise of the second-hand economy, and successes from Rent the Runway and The Real Real, we want to jump on this revolution of fashion rentals, especially within the kids’ marketplace,” said Sheena CEO of Stylette Kids.
